\nAfter 47 years in the bicycle business, the last 34 years building bicycle frames, I have decided it is time
\nto retire. I have really enjoyed my time in the bicycle industry, but it is time to move on. I would like to
\ntake this opportunity to thank my customers, past and present, for their support over all of these years.

\nI leave you with this passage that I think rings true, and that the bicycle industry has long forgotten. This

\u201cWhen man invented the bicycle, he reached the peak of his attainments. Here was a machine of
\nprecision and balance for the convenience of man. And (unlike subsequent inventions for man\u2019s
\nconvenience) the more he used it, the fitter his body became. Here, for once, was a product of man\u2019s
\nbrain that was entirely beneficial to those who used it, and of no harm of irritation to others. Progress
\nshould have stopped when man invented the bicycle.\u201d<\/p>\n
