After 47 years in the bicycle business, the last 34 years building bicycle frames, I have decided it is time
to retire. I have really enjoyed my time in the bicycle industry, but it is time to move on. I would like to
take this opportunity to thank my customers, past and present, for their support over all of these years.
If you have any questions or inquiries, please send me an email. I will be checking the email regularly.
I leave you with this passage that I think rings true, and that the bicycle industry has long forgotten. This
passage is by Elizabeth West, Hovel in the Hills.
“When man invented the bicycle, he reached the peak of his attainments. Here was a machine of
precision and balance for the convenience of man. And (unlike subsequent inventions for man’s
convenience) the more he used it, the fitter his body became. Here, for once, was a product of man’s
brain that was entirely beneficial to those who used it, and of no harm of irritation to others. Progress
should have stopped when man invented the bicycle.”
See you on the road!
